WOR 13 October 2026 The Medi 1 signal on 171 was a regular into the UTwente SDR, but I have not heard it in over a month via that receiver. That’s why I started checking SDRs closer to Morocco, and found the station missing. The Medi 1 Arabic language website still lists 171 kHz on its frequencies page, but that also shows 9575 kHz shortwave, which has been gone for almost a decade, so extremely outdated information. My guess is that the longwave signal is gone for good, unless this is one of those “shut it off and see if anyone notices” situations. As for Chaine 1 Algeria on 153 kHz: I could hear it very weakly via UTwente when Antena Satelor was off the air during overnight hours, but nothing heard recently. Meanwhile Chaine 3 on 252 continues with good reception. Stephen Luce Houston, Texas
