I do not remember off the top of my head what the time was but I researched Romania's broadcasting format a couple of months ago and before they go on the air they transmit, IIRC, a 10 minute straight carrier. Then at the TOH they start their normal programming. I think (I may be way off) is was around 10 PM or so EST but I suggest going back and search the messages to find that one where I spelled out the exact details. You have the best shot in hearing them :-) Also I have listened to Romania via Kiwi remote SDR's and to my ear the language was easily very different and the programming material was completely different from Algeria. I see a carrier on 153 most nights and several nights ago it was the strongest I had every heard it since they went off the air (or went QRP) but it was not enough to get any modulation. I just checked a few SDR over there (1 PM EST here) and it is also still daylight over there but nothing on 153 kHz. 252 kHz was coming in pretty good so 153 kHz may in fact be silent or running flea power. It would be really exciting if you and me and others that are in fact seeing the carrier are seeing it from Romania ! I will check the remote SDR's later tonight and see if I can hear one or the other. But I say again, see if you can hear that 10 minute key down carrier they send each day.
