While the 42 m ISM band (6.765 to 6.795 MHz) is authorized for use in Canada, the maximum allowable radiated field strength is only 106 µV/m at 30m, which works out to 205 nanowatts. However, because Canadian Amateurs are now "self-policing" and are in the non-licensed category (we are only issued certificates of proficency (since 2000), there's nothing preventing one from bumping up the power to 22m power levels (5 milliwatts). ISED Canada pretty much has turned a blind radio eye to Canadian Amateurs so long as we don't cause interference with any licensed services that may be operating in this ISM segment. "Do no harm."

However, I don't believe that the FCC has authorized the use of 44 m ISM for American Amateurs.
