To hear you say you observed it while in Kansas means I may see BBC4 again. If you search the net for articles on long wave you find that most say you must live on the eastern coast. I think people on the West coast may hear Russian LW but I do not know that. Never the less, all these articles say LW is disappearing and sparse. For two days I saw BBC4 and now my hopes are lifted. These stations may disappear but I think something will come along to take their place. There are research programs in several colleges and now in mechanical antennas (an interesting subject) that make me think it is not dead. I am hoping that Amateur Radio gets a big chance at it but the power companies may grab it all when the NDBs disappear. Who knows- anything could happen.
