I have received the 209 MNG signal via a 600 ft. fence "Beverage" wire (terminated) in the CA desert. Note that MNG does employ 9 kHz spacing the same for the present Euro channel spacing but offset 2 kHz upwards as you show and the WRTH shows. Anyone know WHY this is?

Is this to retain the former channels (and 9 kHz spacing) that were in usage (155 kHs plus 9 etc.) before the switching to the 153 plus 9 kHz spacing employed sometime in late 80s .(I'm not sure exactly when but I have the 1982 and then 1990 WRTH on-hand... SpM
