The 2 German utility stations DCF49 and DCF39, on 129.1 and 139.0 kHz, respectively, are booming into the Boston area tonight, 2026-09-29 0035 UTC. Actually I measure tonight (and have always measured) both of their dominant carrier frequencies as being 0.18 kHz lower than the published frequencies just listed. These stations are easily identifiable by their brief hash telemetry signals every 10 seconds with intervening steady carriers. Tonight I cannot hear the related Hungarian utility station HGA22 at (published) 135.6 kHz due to some local power company messy carrier signal QRM. But 2 out of 3 isn’t bad.
