This is good information and I count all that has been said as good information. If I had to bet on what was going on right now I would have to say that it is PLCC as we have discussed. I have very little interference from my neighbors. This stuff is definitely in channels and the modulation that is there is very narrow. Something hard to see until you expand your panorama. Their frequency control is not all that outstanding either but there are plenty of NDB's that are not spot on in frequency. I haven't seen a lot of traffic on these LF channels lately but I suspect this form of communications is not highly prized at the moment. It would be useful in the event their microwave and hi-speed failed. The company that I used to work for put SCADA and data to its remote stations on rented VLAN drops and used satellite as backup. In some places they used company internet service to microwave to those locations with a Sat backup. I am unfamiliar to power company communications and I have this overwhelming need to criticize the FCC for giving them this chunk of the spectrum to use. I was hoping that hams and experimenters would get a bigger chunk of LF communication. But they may not utilize it. It's beyond my pay grade anyways. So I get off my soap box and say thanks. And may you hear the elusive LW signal that you always wanted to hear. thanks
