Hi Gedas,

Our net control is Gerry WA6OWR. IIRC he uses a dipole mounted at a out 12ft, and oriented to give best coverage up and down California. I'm about 250 miles North, and usually receive his signal about S9, I also hear another regular who is in the LA area.

My antenna for 80/75 is a simple inverted L which just about does the job for this net. I run barefoot with about 65W. Typically ~S7 reports for my signal.

There are often hints that the ionosphere is building during the net, in the form of slow fading and diminishing signal strengths as we move beyond the 8 O'clock start.
