Marcy, the 252 kHz carrier you note is very likely Radio Algeria. I hear that carrier quite regularly although I haven't logged its audio since March of this year (I only claim a log if I can hear actual conversation or music). Another carrier I regularly hear (rare audio) is 171 kHz, Morocco, last logged audio January this year. And a pretty weak carrier I often hear without audio is 225 kHz, Radio Poland, which I logged with audio only once, in August 2023. Looking back on my logs which also include a couple LW broadcasters now gone silent, the moral of the story seems to be hearing a carrier is not so tough. Hearing its associated audio modulation, well, that's the tough part. Gud LW DXing to you, Marcy.
