Hi John, here are my 7 cents: 1. Keep it simple.
2. Top level sorting only: lowfer (LF/VLF/ELF) versus hifer only, as currently done.
3. No further sub-sorting by thread topic.
4. Threads listed by those with most recent activity at top
4. One click “entry” into entire threads
5. Any new activity in a thread automatically moves that entire thread to the top. So, threads age “downwards” the longer they go without new activity.
6. Number of total posts within each thread is shown at their top level listings (before clicking to “enter” a thread)so that casual perusal of the list of threads reveals the ones with the most activity.
7. As for names, I have no input other than to note the historical affiliation of this board with LWCA and the fact that hifer activities have always been embraced here (despite not being long wave!). So, something capturing LW and Part 15 (in US) or otherwise sanctioned license-free transmitting? Just some thoughts since you invited feedback. Actually I will be happy with however you set it up. I’m just grateful for this forum at all, covering as it does our various niche interests in some fascinating but otherwise largely overlooked slices of the RF spectrum. Bruce
