Hi Folks,

Monitoring 22m yesterday and overnight turned up some good reception conditions.

7P very consistent and audible most of the time'
NC appeared around dusk, with a continuous signal for around 30 minutes.

The band seemed to close down around 19:00 PST, but there was a surprise in the captures in the early hours of this morning (Feb 11th) with around 30 minutes of clear Spectrum Lab traces from WM at 01:30.

Two more points of note. First, just as I switched on there was a tremendous burst of natural noise See the attached screenshot - The tail end of 7P shows just prior to the change in QRN. Second, another appearence of the seemingly random keying signal, but up a few 100 Hertz from previous encounters - if it is from the same source. In the same screenshot (Random dots and RTTY) our "new friend" the RTTY station made an appearance.

Best wishes and 73

Ed KO6BLM
