Hi Folks,It occurred to me to attempt a signal check of PVC from a point on my homeward commute. the Belka DX is the perfect shortwave companion for a bicycle journey, and my brief listening post was a spot in the "Emerald Hills" district of Redwood City. At an elevation somewhat over 600 ft, it also provided a line of sight to PVC, some 6.6 miles away.
Upon tuning in, using the24" telescopic antenna (approx 0300UTC/2000PDT) the first signal heard was a very distinct and steady TSN. With a little concentration, the slow Morse of PVC was confirmed. This is the most distant local reception I have made. Meanwhile, Belka's reception capabilities continue to impress.
