Only intermittent NC and NI5FX WSPR at the watering hole plus faint WV today at solar noon. I first thought it was the high QRM levels. The 60 Hz buzz was rougher than usual due to gusty west winds, but in the past I've been able to copy a few more beacons thru similar S2-3 buzz at CW bandwidth. Solar flux of 176 sfu probably had both MUF and FOT kind of high today, and even though there was no flare or magnetic activity today, near C-class steady x-ray flux probably contributed a couple more dB of D region absorption. Hoping for better propagation early this evening!
