Your new vertical seems to be doing well, Steve. The band was poor most of the afternoon yesterday (the 21st), with only NC, EH, SIW slant, RY and SZX visible around the watering hole and WV audible at the low end of the band. Nothing was audible above the middle of the band, and only the combo of YSO/PCO, and the long dash of RF were visible. But signals began recovering again about an hour before sunset. RVA showed up first, then became audible for a while. Meanwhile, your signal with its better contained keying sidebands showed up, and eventually became dominant by ear. AMA also began gradually working its way toward audibility. Then WAS began fading in from time to time, too. Later, I watched and listened to RF and K6FRC trading places as most visible and audible; good thing that they were playing nice that way, now that RF is less than 20 Hz from FRC. ABBY appeared very faintly, but KAH never showed up at all.
