Congratulations, Bruce. If you can detect the absence of the time marker at second :59 of each minute, that would be enough to confirm it's DCF77. That's one I enjoy receiving here in Kansas most any winter night, undoubtedly helped considerably by being remote from typical metropolitan noise sources. Once you get acclimated to listening to sustained one-second pulses over a long enough, you could very well become adept enough to discern between a silence of 0.1 s versus 0.2 s. That's a 2:1 ratio, and falls within the range of normal speech syllabic rates. It sometimes presents as a mild, slow stutter-like effect in the timing of some of the silences.
