THanks for that Mike - it is nice to know something remains.

The (London) Science Museum website preserves some of the equipment from Rugby, notably the main antenna tuning inductor:

I remember pictures of this in-situ at the transmitter in an old book on science and technology that I think belonged to my father.

Yesterday, I drove South on the M1, right past Rugby, and from where I remember the antennas used to be visible. As a boy, these huge towers, and the suspended wires were utterly fascinating. A few moments (that never seemed to last long enough) during rare journeys through that part of the world.
